I use to play gigs with TIM & GREGG @ a little TEENY BOPPER club in the WESTGATE SHOPPING CENTER parking lot on the EISENHOWER PARKWAY side in the back corner in the free standing building where the RADIO STATION used to be. They used to tell people that I was their cousin, but not quite blood line cousin true. We both share cousins in common in the OTHA ELLIS family in MACON, GA. OTHA is my mother’s first cousin & the BROOKS are related to OTHA’s wife, LILLIAN. We never practiced, they just showed up with their BASS PLAYER & me with my DRUMMER, BOBBY ANDRE to play ALLMAN BROS. songs improvising the tunes from our collective memory, drinking free COCA-COLA, eating BURGERS & HOTDOGS, & getting paid. NOT BAD for some MACON & DUBLIN boys.
